Something from Nothing Plate#003

When 4 worlds collide.

This meal is one I couldn’t hold back from you guys! JERK SHRIMP!! MANGU!! HOUSE GREEK SALAD!! AND JUGO DE MORA!!

This meal is quite the representation of me, I made the Mangu from both ripe and green plantain and some yuca I had in the freezer! Brought them all to a boil and smashed it with some butter and water; seasoned with salt & pepper, cream cheese and a dash of Sazon completo! The texture was incredible , thick, smooth a little chunky with a perfect balance of sweet and salty. A true taste of D.R.

The jerk shrimp was made in about 8 minutes, I sautéed onions, garlic and a green bell pepper in some oil , seasoned it with Cajun seasoning, lemon pepper, jerk sauce, paprika, and a dash of cinnamon!! Threw the shrimps in there to cook, walked away and in 5 minutes they’re all done. Yummy flavors of the beaches in Jamaica!

The salad was very simple but the trick is making sure everything is finely chopped/sliced. I used spinach, baby carrots, cherry tomatoes, cilantro, parsley, sweet bell pepper, yellow onion, drizzled some evoo, sprinkled salt&pepper, oregano and some lemon juice!! Mix well and top with feta for a Greek inspired salad!

I enjoyed every single bite of this meal. Easy and quick to make. I also made a jugo de mora (blackberry juice) to wash it down!!
